(Jewish Daily Bulletin)

An intensive effort to increase the income to meet the budgetary demands of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations will be carried on during the High Holy Days by the Committee on Finance, headed by David A Brown of Detroit, it was announced here to-day.

Cooperating in this effort will be the Alumni Association of the Hebrew Union College, which will organize a flying squadron of Rabbis to tour the country speaking on the work of the Union and urging the Jews of America to give it liberal support.

A prominent part in the campaign to raise the funds for the Union will be played by the Rabbis, according to a statement made by Rabbi Morris M. Feuerlicht, of Indianapolis, President of the Hebrew Union College Alumni Association. At the recent annual session of the organization a resolution was unanimously carried pledging support of the Alumni in an effort to secure funds for the Union. A special committee was appointed, with Rabbi Feuerlicht as chairman, and associated with him are Rabbi Louis Wolsey, of Philadedphia, Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver of Cleveland, Rabbi Joseph B. Wise of New York. Rabbi Joseph Rauch of Louisville. Ky., Dr. Julian Morgenstern of Cincinnati, and Rabbi George Zepin of Cincinnati.
