New steps to ameliorate the unemployment situation will be taken by the Palestine government, according to assurances given the Jewish population of Tel Aviv by High Commissioner Plumer, who visited here yesterday. He stated he will devote his energies to the reconstruction made necessary by the earthquake and to relief of unemployment.

It was learned that the government has agreed to advance a loan of £10,000 to the city of Tel Aviv for the inauguration of new public works.
