An order prohibiting the rabbis of the Jewish communities in Poland to admit Christians as proselytes to Judaism was issued by the Minister of the Interior. The order is based on the recent decision of the administrative high tribunal.

This measure called forth surprise in Jewish religious circles as it is considered contrary to the provisions of the Polish constitution guaranteeing freedom of conscience to all.
