American Members of Jewish Agency Experts Return from Palestine

Four members of the Jewish Agency Palestine Experts Commission including Professor Elood Mead, Dr. Jacob G. Lipman, Knowles Ayerson, horticulturist of the government experiment station in Hayti and Professor Frank Adams of the University of California who spent six weeks in Palestine in a survey of the colonies giving special attention to the study of agriculture and farming, returned today on the steamer President Adams. Arthur T. Strahorn, soil technologist in the Bureau of Soils, the fifth member of the commission, will return from Palestine in six weeks.

Professor Mead, speaking for the commission, declared that any statement for publication in anticipation of the report which the commission will file night prejudice the report. He stated the report will be in the hands of Louis Marshall and Dr. Lee K. Frankel, one of the American members of the Jewish Agency commission, and the Zionist Organization within a week or two.

The Commission was greeted at the pier by Elihu D. Stone, president of the New England Zionist Region, Dr. Maurice B. Hexter, Robert Silverman and Mendel N. Fisher. The members of the commission left immediately for Washington.

The report, it was stated, will embrace a survey of the colonization activities in Palestine. It will also cover recommendations for the extension and improvement of agricultural activities with special hearing on economic problems. A special part of the report will be filed with Secretary of Agriculture Jardine.

The members of the commission were gratified at the assistance given them by all concerned in Palestine, They will meet in Washington this week to complete their report.

Radio messages were received by the commission while still on board the President Adams from Louis Marshall and the Zionist Organization.
