The Sheierith Israel Synagogue of this city was found desecrated yesterday.
The vandals, believed to be Halloween celebrators, overturned the Holy Scrolls, and stole many of the books. They had gained entry through a window which they broke.
The local authorities are instituting a search for the culprits.
