The municipal Sovict today assigned a sum of 2,600 Roubles to erect a monument in this city to the late Jewish writer, Mendele Mocher Sforim. The grant was made in connection with the tenth anniversary of the writer’s death which will be commemorated on December 8.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
