Jewish Communists Ousted from Party for Opposition

An additional number of Jewish communists were excluded from the Communist party in Ekaterinaslav after it was discovered that they had been active in the opposition headed by Leon Trotzky and Gregory Zinovieff. Among those excluded were Kaufman, Bragingsk, Magilevitch, Swetchkenbaum, Lipshitz, Abel, A. Katz, I Katz, Freiberg and Gurevitch.
