Death ended one of the most remarkable careers in the Anglo-Jewish community with the passing of Louis Sinclair.

Sinclair, who was an immigrant Jew, changed his name from Schlesinger. Although a naturalized citizen, he won a seat in parliament as a representative of the Conservative party. He was head of the famous firm of ecclesiastical embroiderers.
