The promulgation of the Palestine Communities Ordinance was celebrated here last night at a meeting called by the Jerusalem Kehillah.
Among the speakers were M. M. Ussisbkin. Dr. David Yellin. I. Meyuchas. Norman Bentwich spoke on behalf of the government, I. Sprinzak in the name of the Palestine workers and Dr. Landau for the Mizrachi.
The Yiddish paper, “Der Strahl,” the organ of the Jewish Socialist Party Bund in Roumania, has been suppressed by order of the Ministry of the Interior.
