Subscribe $150,000 Toward Sydenham Hospital Fund

Sydenham Hospital, which is giving fifty per cent, free medical service to the poor, is an example of the contributions of the Jewish community toward the well being of this city, declared Mayor Walker, speaking at dinner Sunday night at the Biltmore Hotel. More than $150,000 was raised at the dinner toward the $250,000 building debt of the hospital. About 400 guests, who paid $100 a plate, were present and listened to the addresses of Mayor Walker and Dr. Stephen S. Wise.

David Tishman, president of the hospital, announced a contribution of $25,000 from his father, Julius Tishman Leon Schinasi, who gave the site on which the hospitals building was erected sent a donation of $10,000 from his sickbed.
