The feuds between Chassidic sects in Carpatho Russia are assuming serious proportions, calling forth the severe criticism of the local press. The newspapers commented today on what they term the actions of the “ghetto Facsists” when a series of events demonstrated the bitterness which characterizes the feuds.

Several nights ago a group of Chassidic followers bombarded the house of the Sepinker Rebbe with stones.

Another group of Chassidic followers attacked the slaughter house which is under the supervision of the Belzer Rebbe. In revenge for this attack, followers of the Belzer Rebbe attempted to drown the Sepinker Rebbe when the latter entered the pool for a ritual bath.
