Figures of the income of the Keren Hayesod during the year 1927 have just been published here. The figures show that during 1927 the fund received less than in the previous year, the decline being attributed to the fact that remittances for 1927 had been forwarded earlier. These advance remittances included sums from America and the £50,000 gift of Bernard Baron.

During 1927 the income of the Keren Hayesod totalled £494,288, while in 1926 it was £595,589. American contributions totalled £247,506 in 1927 while in 1926 £332,411 was transmitted.

Other countries generally sent more during the previous year than in 1926, particularly South Africa, Germany and Roumania. China, which sent £80 in 1926, forwarded £3,694 during the past year. Australia, whose contribution in 1926 was £121, increased the amount to £5,023, New Zealand which made no remittances in 1926, forwarded £2,600 last year.
