Trial Vindicates Him of Wild Charges by Former Colleagues (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
Theodor Leschak, professor at the Tarnow high school, lost his position and had to defend himself against wild charges when his non-Jewish colleagues learned that he had embraced Judaism.
Upon embracing the Jewish faith he was named Abraham Ben Abraham. The new convert to Judaism was removed from his position and charges were made against him to the authorities that he was a dangerous Communist and a member of an international terroristic band. An investigation made by the police disclosed nothing compromising. The act of accusation, however, stated that he was a member of an international Communist association.
At the trial which took place the other day, secret service men testified that Leschak was a Communist and a member of an international organization aspiring to overthrow the Government. Other testimony presented at the trial, however, proved that Leschak was indeed a member of an international organization, but it was the International Organization of Esperantists.
