Admitting that the situation of the Hebrew teachers in palestine is “cruell heard”, the Zionist Executive issued today a statement in which it is declared that the teachers did not receive their salaries for five months. The amount owing to teachers is about £ 30,000.

The Executive declares that it finds it impossible to arrange for a special loan to meet these obligations. It promises however, to pay this debt proportionately to the further income of the educational budget. The debt includes unpaid salaries for August and September.
