Judge Horace Stern of the Court of Common Pleas was elected a trustee of the University of Pennsylvania for a period of ten years.
Judge Stern, who was formerly president of the Federation of Jewish Charities, is a member of the Board of Governors of Dropsie College. He is the first Jew to be named a trustee of the University.
