Delegates from three states participated in the conference held here for the purpose of reorganizing Region Five and of co-ordinating all Zionist activities within the territory. This action was taken in accordance with the decision of the Atlantic City convention of the Zionist Organization.

Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and West Virginia were represented by delegates from East Liverpool, Ellwood City, New Castle, Farrell, Sharon, Greensburg. Johnstown, McKeesport, Oil City, Uniontown, Washington, Duquesne, and other communities in the vicinity of Pittsburgh.

Emil Steinbach, chairman of the conference and Pittsburgh member of the National Executive Committee, presided. Dr. M. B. Lichtenstein was elected president; I. Safyan, Abe Cohen of Uniontown; Sam Rosen. Oil City; A. H. Friedman, McKeesport; Meyer Reigh, East Liverpool, vice presidents; F. L. Suss, secretary, and Maz Azen, treasurer.
