Jews Suffer in Bulgarian Quake, Many Believed Hurt

The homes of hundreds of Jewish families were destroyed in the cities of Tchirpan and Philippopolis. One Jewish child was killed in Borissovgrad in the earthquake which rocked Bulgaria on Wednesday, April 18.

No accurate estimate of the damage and loss of life can be obtained, due to the fact that communication has been interrupted.
