(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

A football match between a Jewish and a Gentile team ended in a near riot and resulted in injuries to the majority of the Jewish players. Five Jewish players were taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The match was played between the Maccabee and the Zwirn Fabriksverein. The playing was so rough that the police were compelled to interrupt the game. It was charged that foul means were used by the Verein Players, which the spectators attributed to anti-Semitic venom.
