(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

In response to the demand presented by a delegation of the former members of the Jewish Legion that land be set aside for their settlement, the High Commissioner, Lord Plumer, rejected the suggestion.

In view of the results of similar experiments in other countries, Lord Plumer stated that he has no confidence in a special settlement of former soldiers. He will, however, consider any concrete proposal of the former legionnaires, he stated.
