Judge Julian W. Mack was elected a delegate to the forthcoming Zionist convention in Pittsburgh from Chicago.

Twenty-five delegates were elected, all but one of those recommended by the nominations committee being chosen. The delegates are B. Abrahamson, Meyer Abrams, B. A. Antonow, Morris Augustus, S. Diamond, B. Edidin, Herman Elenbogen. I. T. Feingold, Judge Harry M. Fisher, Max Goldberg, M. P. Ginzburg, A. Z. Halperin, M. Halperin, Judge Samuel Heller, S. B. Komaiko, Judge Julian W. Mack, Judge Hugo Pam, I. S. Privul, S. J. Rosenblatt, Bernard Shulman, Max Shulman, B. L. Sloan, H. Steinberg, S. Steinberg and Leon Zolotkoff.

Nominations by petition were filed for the North Side and Albany Park branches, there being no contest in the other three branches.

A banquet in honor of Rabbi Chayim Hirschensohn on the occasion of his seventieth birthday was given on Tuesday night at the North Hudon Community Copter. More than 400 guests were present.

Among the speakers were the Rev. Z. H. Masliansky, Prof. Chaim Tzernovitz, Rabbi M. Z. Margulies and Rabbi B. Levinthal of Philadelphia. A purse of $2,500 was presented to the rabbi by a committee of congregations of Hudson County.
