Samuel Glitzin, laborer in a Briansk factory, was expelled from the Communist Party because the Abrahamitic rite was performed upon his new born son.

Although Glitzin claimed that he was absent from the city when the ceremony was held, the party officials declared that he absented himself purposely to enable his wife to arrange for the circumcision.
