(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

Two hundred Jewish families are without roofs over their heads as a result of the damages caused by rains in several villages.

The towns Bausk, Reshitze and Mitun, where the majority of the inhabitans are Jewish, suffered most severely.

Mayor Frank Edwards of Seattle, Wash. appointed Simon Burnett, prominent jewelry merchant, to the Park Board for a term of three years. Dave Himelbock was chosen a member of the Board of Moving Picture Censors. Both are active in Jewish Communal life in the city and state.
