The heirs of a Jewish manufacturer of Trieste. Saul Daniel Modiane. originally from Salonfca. promised three years ago the president of the Jewish Community of Salonica. Mr. Jacob Cases. about 400,000 lires. to be devoted to the establishment of a home for old Jews. All the necessary formalities have now been concluded. and the Home will be opened shortly in a building purchased for this purpose A third of the bequest has been spent on the purchase, and the remaining two-thirds has been set aside as a maintenance fund.
