Expulsion of Roumanian Student’s Union Removed from Conference Agenda

The question of expelling the National Union of Christian Students of Roumania from the International Students Confederation at the International Students Congress to be held in Paris in August, has been removed from the agenda of the Congress, according to the “Cuventul!” here, which reported that the question was to come up.

“We stated recently,” the paper says, “that the International Students Congress in Paris would deal with the question of expelling the Roumanian Students Union, because of the disturbances which took place in Transylvania. We also stated that the Roumanian Government had refused to assist the Union in its effort to resist the intended expulsion. The Government has now agreed, however, to help the Union, because its expulsion would be harmful to the interests of the country. The Roumanian Students’ Union has now received the Agenda of the International Students’ Congress and the question of its expulsion and of the Transylvania disorders no longer figure there.”
