More than fifty of the delegates attending the International Esperanto Congress here are Jewish. A special service was held in their honor at the Great Synagogue. Rabbi Sappra of Germany, a delegate to the Congress, preached the sermon in Esperanto.

Mr. Leizerowitz of Lodz, Poland, delivered greetings to the Congress in behalf of the Jewish delegates. The brother and daughter of Zamenhof, creator of Esperanto, received an ovation from the delegates when they appeared in the Congress hall.
