Complaints against the proposed revision of the taxation law in Palestine are voiced in the London "Catholic Herald."
The paper states that the Attorney General, who is a Jew, favors Zionism by tax immunity to immigrants, denying the same to pilgrim hostleries. Exemption from taxes would also be granted to the Jewish agricultural schools, but not to the Catholic art and trade schools, the paper states, declaring that the new provisions would force Catholics to abandon their schools and hospices in the country.
