The annual memorial service for the thirteen Hungarian generals who fell in the revolt against Austria in 1849, will be held at the Central Synagogue on Tabakgasse. Permission to hold the services in the synagogue was granted the Memorial Committee by the Kehillah.

The service was previously held in the Franciscan convent which this year refused permission. The Hungarian press points out that it is the first time that this function will be held in a synagogue.
