An association for the amelioration of the Pinsk marsh region. constituting one-twelfth of Poland’s area, was formed here.

The organizers of the enterprise, which involves great expenditure, are Poles. Jewish leaders are taking little interest in the matter. It is not expected that when ameliorated, the land would be available for Jewish settlement.

On October 12, 13, 14, 1928. Temple Mr. Sinai of El Paso. Texns of which Rabbi Martin Zielonka is the rabbi. will celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of its charter.

Rabbi Edgar F. Magnin of Los Angeles. Calif, will be the gnest speaker for the three day celebration, which will end with a congational dinner. A. Schwartz is president of the congregation.
