A new Jewish sect has been established on the eastern border of Poland, near Vilna, with headquarters at Kucewicze, its adher## pumbering, it is said, about 15,000, states a Reuter report from Warsaw appearing here today in the “Daily Telegraph.”

It has been decided, the report further says, to form a Jewish Church, recognizing the divinity of Jesus and also to study the New Testament, adhering, however, to the general rabbinical regulations. The recent development of this and other sects, the report adds, is an entirely new feature in Poland, where until lately any movement of this kind has always been extremely insignificant.

Mortimer L. Schiff declared he supports the candidacy of Attorney General Ottinger. Republican nominee for Governor. In a letter to Mr. Ottinger he wrote:

“The choice of you by the Republican party as its standard bearer in this State is an admirable one and has my unqualified support.”

“I consider Mr. Hoover the ablest man in public life today. Not only has he natural gifts of extraordinary clearness of brain, great industry and powers of coordination but he has an experience beyond the conception of the average man,” declared Aaron Sapiro, pledging his support for the Republican candidate.
