Joseph Shemanski of this city has created a fund of $5,000 in Salem to be administered by the First National Bank to men released from the penitentiary.

The money is to be loaned in small amounts without interest charge. The fund will be kept at the $5,000 mark. Loans will be made only on recommendation of Superintendent Myers of the state penitentiary.
