N. Y. Reform Congregations Launch Membership Drive

At the call of the Association of Reform Congregations, representatives of congregations in Greater New York me at the Community House of Central Synagogue and formulated plans for a membership campaign.

The campaign will include in its scope all Reform congregations in the Metropolitan district. A budget was votes and a large part of the necessary funds was pledged by the various congregations and individuals at the meeting. A finance committee was authorized to secure the remainder.

An executive committee with power to act and call meetings of the general body was chosen. It was also give power to select an executive head and director to carry out the project. Announcement will be made shortly of the definite plans as to the method and the time of the intensive campaign. The meeting was presided over by Seymour Mork, chairman of the sub-committee of the Association. J. B. Pollak acted as secretary.
