Jewish barbers in London will be required to observe Sunday as their day of rest, according to a clause in the new barbers’ bill approved yesterday by a parliamentary committee.
On the assumption that Jewish barber shop owners keep their establishments open on Sunday, the bill provides a clause that they should not carry on their business on Saturday. The bill will now be submitted for a third reading in the House of Commons, following which it will go to the House of Lords.
