The granting of amnesty to political and military prisoners was again the subject of an interpellation introduced in the Roumanian Parliament by the Jewish Deputy Jacob Pistiner.

The Deputy pointed out that all other countries have released their political prisoners, while the present government has not fulfilled its promise to release prisoners held for offenses committed during and after the War. Many of them have been held in prisons for over ten years, he declared.
