Approximately $2,500,000 has been collected for the building fund of the Federation of Jewish Charities, according to a statement made by Justin P. Allman, president of the Federation.

Although it was the original plan to contract for and erect the various buildings singly, circumstances confronting the various institution were such that contracts had to be given out immediately for all the buildings. With the exception of two, these have all been completed and are now being put to use by their respective organizations. The new wing to Mount Sinai Hospital and the new Convalescent Home outside of Willow Grove are virtually completed and will be dedicated shortly, Mr. Allman announced.

Rabbi Julius Gordon of the Temple Emanuel, Worcester, Mass., announced that a campaign would be started among the members of the congregation May 1 for $150,000 for the erection of a new synagogue and school. Several sites have been selected and a decision will be made shortly.

David Isenberg is president of the Temple congregation and Adolph Hirsch is chairman of the committee.
