In the midst of a trial before the Palestine High Court over the question of citizenship, the government of Palestine relinquished its opposition to the granting of citizenship to a former Ottorman subject, an Arab.

The Arab has been a resident of Palestine for many years. The government refused him citizenship because he left the country in 1924 and remained abroad for three years.
