The efforts of the National Minorities Council of the Ukraine to place Jewish police in districts where the majority of the population is Jewish was blocked by the Police Department.
Although Jewish police were appointed to serve in these districts, the Police Department sent them elsewhere. The Council is pressing the matter further.
