Jerusalem (May. 6)
New attacks on Jewish worshippers at the Western Wall of the Temple, commonly called the Wailing Wall, were perpetrated by Moslem Arabs during this week end. The sexton who looks after the needs of the worshippers who assemble at the Wall, particularly on Friday night and Saturday, was seriously injured by a stone thrown at him.
Stones were thrown by the Arabs during the services Friday evening and Saturday morning.
On Sunday a joint meeting of the Vaad Leumi, National Council of Palestine Jews, the Sephardic and Ashkenazic Chief Rabbis of Palestine, as well as representatives of the Agudath Israel, was held to consider steps to be taken with regard to the new attacks. The meeting decided to submit a joint memorandum to the government.
