A large number of Jews are among the contributors to the National Thank Offering for the King’s recovery, to be devoted to the enrichment of the King Edward’s Hospital Fund and the establishment of a National Radium Fund.
The contributors include Messrs. M. Samuel &; Co., Ltd., £10,000; Lord Melchett, £5,000; Bernhard Baron, £1,000; Messrs. N. M. Rothschild & Sons, £1,000; the Hon. Henry Mond, £1,000; Louis Sterling £1,000; the Hon. Mrs. Sebag Montefiore, £1,000 and many other Jews who have given smaller sums.
