Twenty persons were drowned and over one hundred houses ruined when a flood, lasting over three hours, swept the city of Ekaterinoslav, today. As the result of the flood the water works burst. The lower part of the city was entirely submerged by water. The damage is estimated in the hundreds of thousands of roubles.

All able bodied men were mobilized to clear away the debris. The city authorities have undertaken the organization of relief work for the victims. Many Jewish families are among those affected.
