Although the condition of Victor Berger, former Socialist Congressman, who suffered a basal fracture when struck by a street car, is slightly better, physicians warned his family against undue optimism.

The medical report stated that he is experiencing shorter periods of unconsciousness and that his pulse and temperature are nearly normal. Mr. Berger is sixty-nine years old.

A resolution of sympathy, sponsored by four non Socialist members of the Wisconsin Legislature was unanimously adopted. Messages of sympathy have been received from all parts of the world.
