U.S. Business Party May Visit Jewish Colonies

Arrangements are being made for members of the party of American business men now touring Russia to visit a number of the Jewish colonies, David A. Brown, national chairman of the United Jewish Campaign, announced.

A cable was sent by Mr. Brown to Dr. Joseph Rosen, director of the Agro-Joint, in which the latter was asked to extend the hospitality of his organization and to facilitate the travels of the party who desired to make a tour of the colonies..

Abner Schwarlz was elected president of the newly organized community synagogue of Norwich, Conn. The synagogue will hold its services for the first time at the Community House during the coming High Holidays. It is a constituent of the United Synagogue of America.
