New riots of a minor nature, which might have assumed more serious proportions, were checked by the authorities late Saturday afternoon. A Jew returning from his Sabbath prayers at the Wailing Wall was stabbed by an Arab. Two hours later an Arab was found wounded by a head blow. The assailants in both cases were not apprehended, but when the news spread, a minor riot was started. Several Arabs have been arrested.”
