Chief Rabbi Permits Jews in Army Service to Remain at Posts During Holidays

Jewish drivers employed by the army are permitted to remain at their work during the High Holidays, if it is necessary for facilitating military movement in the country, Chief Rabbi A. J. Kook announced today. This permission is granted provided they fast and pray on the Day of Atonement.
