The Zionist Organization of America today sent a message of greeting and welcome by radio to Ramsay MacDonald, British Prime Minister, who is now on his way to this country on the S. S. “Berengaria.” Unusual interest has been aroused among the Jews of America on account of Mr. MacDonald’s visit, due to the recent events in Palestine. The radio message expresses confidence in Mr. MacDonald that he will do all within his power to rectify errors of policy and administration in Palestine. The radio message, which was signed by Louis Lipsky, President of the Zionist Organization of America, read as follows:

“The Zionists of America extend a hearty welcome to you on the occasion of your arrival in America for the purpose of furthering friendship and mutual understanding between your own great country and ours. We greet you as a distinguished exponent of liberalism in government and humanitarianism in social action. The Zionists of America know that the cause with which our life’s ideals are bound up has a warm friend in you who have on various occasions given encouragement to the rebuilding of Palestine by Jews in accordance with the terms of the Mandate. At this time when the hearts of Jews the world over are grieved by recent events in Palestine it is a matter for rejoicing that at the head of the British Government is a man who will justify the confidence we feel in him and in his desire to do whatever may be within his power to rectify errors of policy and administration that have been revealed in Palestine.”
