Hadassah Plans Membership Drive

Hadassah, the women Zionist organization, will launch a national membership campaign. The 292 Hadassah chapters in 36 states carrying on the drive simultaneously, preparatory to the holding of the annual convention in Atlantic City, Nov. 14 to 17.

The aim is to increase the national membership to 50,000.

Mrs. A. H. Fromenson, Chairman of the Palestine Supplies Department of Hadassah, announced that the department has shipped sixteen cases of warm clothing and linens to Palestine.

The Montreal Jewish People’s Schools are celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of their founding.

At a banquet held in the Mount Royal Hotel, on October 20th, the guest speaker was Dr. Jehudah Kaufman of Tel Aviv, Palestine. Dr. Kaufman was one of the founders of the Schools in Montreal. A campaign was launched, under the chairmanship of B. Aaron, to raise $50,000 to make adequate provision for these schools in the city.
