Hebraist Convention Opens in New York

The eleventh annual convention of the Histadruth Ivrith, Hebraists’ organization, was opened Monday night at the Hotel Pennsylvania, New York, in the presence of 800 delegates and guests.

Dr. Joseph Tannenbaum, in his opening address, called on all Hebraists to aid in the growth of Hebrew culture in America.

Menachem Rybalov, Prof. Davidson, Rabbi Wolf Gold and Charles Cowen were the speakers. The convention continued in session on Tuesday.
