Palestine tobacco sold to Poland brought 20% above the prices of last year, declared Polish Commercial Attache Hausner at a press meeting here on his return from Poland.

The Polish government is also permitting imported Palestine oranges up to 19% of the total amount brought into the country.

Poland is eager to develop trade with Palestine, the Commercial Attache declared, and the new Polish Merchant Marine now under construction will visit Haifa and Jaffa. The Finance Ministry is actively interested in the Palestine-Polish Bank in which the government may take shares.

Poland, with a natural annual population increase of 400,000, is vitally interested in emigration to Palestine, declared Dr. Leshunsky, Immigration Director, who arrived with Mr. Hausner to spend a fortnight in Palestine. The government has established special departments to facilitate emigration, he said.
