Arabs from neighboring villages participated in the laying of the cornerstone of the Jewish colony, Nathania, near Herzlia. The colony has been named in honor of Nathan Straus.

The secretary of the B’nai Benjamin, organization of the sons of Palestine pioneers, in his address at the cornerstone ceremonies, dwelt on the excellent Arab-Jewish relations existing in this area. He paid tribute to the American philanthropist whose name has been given to the colony.
