Egyptian Arab Press Tones Down Anti-jewish Stories

Although the Arab press in Egypt has toned down considerably its inflammatory anti-Jewish articles, due probably to government influence, the pro-Arab papers still utilize every opportunity for anti-Jewish incitement. Recently the “Alahram,” in publishing the pictures of the two Chalutzim, Davidesco and Levine, remarked that “these Zionists were caught smuggling ammunition, machine guns, grenades and rifles from Beirut to Haifa.”
