The Polish Zionist Conference to be held January 5 will be controlled by the oppositionists according to election returns for delegates now available. Those elected so far are 105 of the Al Hamishmar, 80 Eth Livnoth and 75 Revisionists.

The fourth Polish Revisionist Congress was opened here today by the Hebrew poet, I. Kahn, with 150 delegates present. M. Grossman spoke about the political situation of Zionism and of the Revisionist aims. He declared that an extraordinary Zionist congress should be called and a new Zionist Executive should be chosen.

In the name of the Al Hamishmar, Deputy Isaac Gruenbaum declared that although he had always fought Dr. Weizmann’s policy he does not agree with Grossman that the Executive was responsible for the recent Palestine events, saying that other factors led to it. Gruenbaum opposed an extraordinary congress for fear of an internal war within the Zionist ranks. He also expressed a disbelief in England’s conscientious Zionist policy.

Both Gruenbaum and Dr. Gottlieb, leader of the Eth Livnoth, tried to win the sympathy of the Revisionists, presumably having in mind the creation of a bloc with them for the Polish Zionist Congress where the votes of the Revisionists will be decisive.
